FAQ
| Q: | Should the USP Proxy PC be on the outside or inside a firewall? |
| A: | The USP Proxy PC should be inside the firewall. Having the USP Proxy outside the firewall is not secure, since the ISP and/or telecom provider can then potentially see the decrypted network traffic. The firewall must be configured to allow traffic on respective ports without content screening. The configuration of this port should only allow forwarding to the USP Proxy PC and not to any other node. You may also wish to place a 2nd firewall between the USP Proxy and the client PCs (i.e. create a Demilitarised Zone). For further information, see the "Eurex Repo Installation Guide". |
